DJ Dame @ CultuurNacht 2004

DJ Dame has the honour of closing one of the two official afterparties of the 2 nd   edition of the CultuurNacht in The Hague. At 2:00 am, DJ Dame will step behind the wheels of steel with an exclusive “underground moods & grooves set from beneath the surface”.

The CultureNacht in 2003 was undoubtly the newcomer in the Dutch  cultural scene.
By the multidisciplinary approach, the always innovating concept and a broadening of the progressive international range of the programme it can hardly be otherwise that, with the coming edition, a strong initiative sets off to an honourable annual tradition.

Over 25 venues all over the city of The Hague are turned over to more than 200 artists, musicians and creative forces for a spectacular night of art, music and technology. Museums, churches, musical venues, art galleries, theatres, libraries, schools, bookshops, and lots of other venues are opening their doors from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. The festival connects experiences with the highly coveted, extremely elusive young urban adults and a curious and dynamic public.

Within CultuurNacht it is all about exploring the combinations of disciplines; night culture is taken as the main element and artists and performers are invited to combine their specialties into a modern conceptual unity. The CultuurNacht creates an opportunity for everyone to explore new and unknown sides of contemporary culture.

On this night the aim is to temporarily change the ambience and cultural landscape of the international city of peace and justice: The Hague. The city centre is an integral part of the CultuurNacht, involving major and minor (cultural) institutions. By encouraging cultural institutions and venues to present themselves in a new light and giving the public an opportunity to discover the more hidden sides of the city…
