Three Days One Million People

Over the past four years, Detroit, Michigan, has been the host city of the most important electronic music events in the world: a free three-day festival, integrating musical and visual artistry, creativity, diversity and state-of-the-art technology.

On each stage, the performances are strategically scheduled to create a continuous flow, beginning at noon and building musical momentum until the finale at midnight.

This year, the Movement Festival continues its dedication to disseminating some of the world's most important music and promoting cutting-edge talent while maintaining allegiance to the heritage of true urban music.

+31/313 Underground Stage
During this years last weekend in May the international influence of Detroit's music will make its way back home and create a tribute to the local Detroit pioneers. Keeping with the Underground stages' traditional sounds of minimal techno, semi-live electro-based inspirations and multimedia performances, this years Underground stage will be hosted by the European Movement partner: The Generator. A broad range of different Detroit-influenced styles, performed and played by inspired artists from Holland can be heard and felt during the three days that this stage rocks the motor city. Techno, house, electro, hip-hop and break-beats from young talents versus the tricks from well known Dutch and Detroit artists make an eclectic crossover of energy, sounds and video but keeping it's underground edge and feature many performances from the visiting International artists.
